No! This session type serves as a milestone session! We are able to
Do I need to bring the cake?
Yes, parents are responsible for bringing the cake. I recommend a small, soft cake (without hard fondant) that’s easy for your little one to dig into. Generally, a white cake with white icing makes for the most timeless photos.
What should my baby wear for the session?
I recommend starting with a special outfit for portraits before the cake comes out — something cute and comfortable. For the cake smash, many parents choose a simple diaper cover, tutu, or romper to make cleanup easier and keep the focus on your baby’s joyful expressions!
What happens if my baby doesn’t like the cake?
Not every baby dives right into the cake, and that’s totally okay! I’ll guide the session with patience and playfulness to help them feel comfortable. We can capture sweet moments with or without cake, and sometimes just a few curious finger pokes make for the most adorable photos.
